Aesop is compact lightweight unit which assists anyone and especially blind or low vision users to easily learn touch typing. It connects to a standard computer keyboard and as each key or key combination is pressed Aesop announces the letters in a clear human quality voice. It does not require a PC so can be used anywhere and is ideal for people who are unfamiliar with computers. It is ready to use immediately, there is no software to run and no risk of scrambling the hard drive. Aesop can also be used while connected to a PC, to announce keystrokes by their phonetic sound. This can help sighted users who are new to the language or who have a difficulty such as dyslexia, to match the letter images to the sounds they represent. |
